Which type doors can I use as a front door, back door, entrance door?

Either you are replacing the existing front entry door, back door, entrance door or buying one for the addition you made to your home, installing new interior doors also considered to be home re-modeling project. Before you start searching online or visit the door supplier shop you do not know about numerous choices available for interior doors. With so many alternatives available, you have to stress your brain on how to choose the accurate interior door.

You should spare your time and have a sight to the models available and the design of the interior door you want. Before taking any decision it should be made sure that the style of the door you choose should match the overall style of your home interior because the wrong decision could tarnish the overall outcome you wanted to attain.

With a particular type of door, that is one with glass or the raised panel one, you can opt for a hollow or the solid interior door. Hollow doors are less expensive and are lighter in weight but they do not block much sound between the rooms as the solid ones. Since hollow doors less expensive, they are vulnerable to damages that may prove to be costly in the long run.

Apart from the common slab door you can choose from different styles and types of interior doors (Aluminum doors, wood doors, uPVC doors). You have the choice of bifold door, majestic type door, pocket door, french door with panel of glass, composite doors, uPVC door, GRP door, stable door, folding sliding doors, fibreglass door, doors with numerous raised panels, café style door or sliding pocket doors for saving your room space among others to choose from.

The French door may be appropriate for you if you want to make available more light inside or want to be able to see through the other room. You can use french doors between kitchen and dining area or for the in-house office.

You should always consider the use of the room while selecting the door. For example, a glass door should not be used for bedroom or bathroom, as you require privacy in these rooms. Also, for your child’s room you should not opt for the bi folding sliding doors as there is the probability that they may nip their fingers while closing doors. You should always opt solid doors for bedroom and bathroom.

Since doors come in a range of sizes, before purchasing any door you should have the proper dimensions of the door opening. You can also decide the type of hardware you want to use. You can choose doorknobs, hinges, handle and many more, but they should match the door and the interior of the home.
