Front doors or entry doors tells a lot about home owner virtually how, the first impression someone makes about you or your home when he comes to your home is by the exterior of your home and the most important - your front entry door. The material, design, colors, etc. tells a lot about the homeowner. There are going to be many things that you are going to need to take into consideration when you are trying to leave a lasting impression on your guest. Here is the checklist for the same.

It is up to your decision that which type of home doors you want to have, i.e., natural wood door, composite door, uPVC door, aluminium or steel doors. Whichever material you opt for your front entry door should be able to stand all the weather conditions. It should not expand or contract too much or even bend during summer, winter or rainy season. The material you choose should not start decomposing after a decade or so.

Design of the front door or entry door is the major thing that catches your guest’s attention. Now days you have a wide variety of designed doors available online to choose from. You can have a good custom front door or custom entry door; custom-made design wooden door along with designer fibreglass or the ready to fit doors available in many designs and colors from the market. The next major thing above all is the security aspect. Whichever material and design you use, your front entry door should strong enough to keep your home secure even if you are at home or not. The door should be thick enough. The thicker the door, stronger it is. The locking system should be very strong. Hook lock at the top and at bottom, deadbolt, center latch and roller cams are the characteristics of the good locking system.

Next important aspect that comes is the maintenance. You should be able to give proper maintenance to the material you choose for your front entry door. For those who don’t have time to give regular maintenance should go for composite and uPVC doors. Others can even choose from hard wood and metals.
